Thank you for thinking adoption first when considering any pet. At NorCal Rescue we intake small animals such as guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, gerbils, and hedgehogs. We accept animals coming from different backgrounds and situations, special needs included. Age: Approximately 6 months old Special Needs: None Personality: Active Breed: Syrian Color: Satin Dove Leota is a 6 month old, satin dove female syrian hamster. She was surrendered to the rescue along with another hamster who were being housed together. Leota is a very curious critter! She LOVES floor time and is curious to run around and explore her surroundings. She is okay being picked up, held, and pet. However, very similar to a cat, when she is done with you, she will let you know! She will squirm from your grasp and leap! Would not recommend for small children. If you're looking for a very young and active ham, then Leota might be for you. She currently is recovering from a fight that she had some time ago with the hamster she was housed with. She only has a couple tiny scabs beside her eyes left, so she is in the all clear for adoption.
