Casa de Mateo is a licensed home-based or family childcare and preschool in the Eastmont district of Oakland that serves children up to 5 years old. We offer a Spanish Immersion program since it is our goal that children either further their Spanish or learn it for the first time. We are a play-based preschool. Our curriculum and teaching methods are developed to prepare children for kindergarten socially, emotionally, and cognitively. For details about our program, visit www.casademateo.org. We are looking for a teacher assistant to provide care and supervision for the children, and educational and organizational support during 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Person must be a fluent Spanish speaker preferably native. No early childhood development (ECD) credits are required but are a plus if you have them or if you just started taking ECD classes. Person will need to be fingerprinted by the state of California and provide required immunization records including a TB (tuberculosis) clearance.
