Description

I'm looking to find a group of musicians to play with, in my project The Beneduci Band (that name is very flexible, it's just what I named it in order to start releasing demos). I was recently with the bluegrass band The Good Bad and right before Covid I moved on to start a solo project. Now that things are settling down I'm trying to assemble a band and start booking shows and playing with folks again. The Band- Bluegrass, Jamgrass, feel good folky music, all ideally with a heavy focus on the groove (looking at you bassists) and a strong focus on original material. I'm looking for Banjo, Bass (upright preferred but open to electric), and Percussion players mostly but also super down to meet and play with singers, guitarists, mandolin, and fiddle players and potentially add them to the roster. I would like to build enough of a team where if someone wasn't able to make a gig there would be a stand-in player available. The gig- Paid Practices - two to three a month, scheduled in advance. Ideally we would replace these with writing sessions after getting everyone up to speed on the material. $15/hr (I realize its not much) Local Gigs - 3-4 a month spread around the bay area is the goal. Eventually the more mellow gigs like bars breweries and winery's would replace the practices. Paid Small Tours - Short 1 week or 2 week tours around the western u.s. once or twice in a year is the goal here for now. This is where having a large group of musicians comes in handy. I have a day job as well and understand that touring isn't easy to commit to so having stand-ins is a nice way to mitigate availability. Full band Recording session- 4-5 day commitment over a weekend in the early winter most likely to recording a full length album If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please reach out! Even if it's just to jam thats' fine too. It's time to get live music going again in the bay area.
