Please help me find Peter from Hartford Street 2010

I have some wonderful art that Peter created back in the early 2000s. I've lost touch with him and don't even know if he is still alive. I sadly can not remember his last name. I'd love to find him or his family to return this very meaningful art. What I remember about him: He lived on Hartford Street between 17th and 18th (in a downstairs apartment on the odd number side of the street) during Dec 2010. He worked at a high-end hair salon (Patrick Evan, maybe?) near union square at that time. He was American of Basque decent. I'd really appreciate any information to help me find him or his family.
