HOW Santa Barbara event Volunteer sign up page Welcome all! Thank you for your continued support of our Heroes! We are finally able to get back to having events and showing our Heroes what is so special about the kayak community. Lets show them another great day on the water. And what better place to get back in the swing of things than Santa Barbara Harbor. We will be hunting Halibut, Calico Bass and rockfish. If you are an experienced kayak angler we will need you as an on the water guide so please choose a guide ticket. Remember these trips are not about US catching fish so please do as little fishing as possible. We get to do this all the time, our Heroes do not. So if you want to get your own gear set up please get there much earlier than 6 am because at 6 am it is all hands on deck to get the HOW gear ready. Please bring a digital camera We ask that each of you arrive no later than 6 am(earlier if possible) on Saturday May 22nd at the Harbor parking lot. We have lots of work to get done before our Heroes arrive. Rigging kayak, rigging fishing rods and gear. Catching bait. Setting up the check in table and getting everything disinfected before our participants arrive. We WILL still be following all COVID 19 protocol so please bring a face covering/buff and remember to stay 6 feet apart whenever possible. Lunch will again be provided by Joey at Mountain Air Sports. So when we get off of the water we will walk up to Mountain Air.
