Description
UNION CITY, CA — A free community shred day will be held in Union City on Saturday, April 24. The event is open to Union City residents, businesses, City employees, and families of children in the New Haven Unified School District.
Now's your chance to get rid of old receipts, tax forms, bank statements and other documents with your social security number or other identifying information. All documents will be securely shredded and then recycled.
Paper clips and staples are allowed. No plastic or photos will be accepted.
You will drop off the documents in a drive-thru line at James Logan High School, 1800 H St., between 9 a.m. and noon. No appointments are necessary.
You may bring up to 6 banker-sized boxes for shredding. A standard banker box is 12.5 x 10.5 x 16.25 inches. The papers do not need to be in a banker box, if you don't have any.
Shredding documents is a great way to protect yourself from Identity Theft.
