Yakko is a Shepherd x American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and she is 8 weeks old. Yakko is good with dogs, cats, and kids. Yakko are extremely well socialized. She loves people and especially loves kids. Yakko is the adventurous one. She is always the first to investigate a new corner of the garage, or to crawl underneath the lemon tree to see what's there. Yakko is also the watchdog. She alerts us to any strange sounds or people. She will run TOWARDS the noise to scare it off. She is SUPER cuddly. Yakko is a velcro dog. She follows me EVERYWHERE and is not happy if she can't be with one of us. She tends to play a bit rough and seems to think she is a big dog in a little dog's body. When she does settle down, she loves a good belly rub and will let me hold her like a baby while I rub her belly. She has fallen asleep like this many times. She is a great option for living with other dogs or even a dog savvy cat. We will only consider a home that has had a dog in the last three years. This does not include family pets that remained in the family home, petsitting or roommate's pets. If there are children they need to be over the age of 7.
