Let's celebrate Earth Day by taking care of our beaches! Earth Day is a day where we can collectively come together to celebrate the wonders of this amazing planet. Join us in this Earth Day celebration by cleaning up our local beach with our community :-) Santa Monica Beach is a beach with heavy foot traffic every day, let's come together and take care of it! This event is FREE and provided by The Phoenix, a nonprofit organization that leverages the power of community and fitness to transform participants' lives. We ask only one thing from our participants -- 48 hours of sobriety. To ensure a safe and healthy space, we ask everyone to wear a mask. There are many benefits of attending Phoenix events: Beach clean-up equipmentExtra PPE (if you forget a mask or it breaks, we have one for you)Community of shared experiences of wanting to lead a healthy lifestyle minus drugsWe will meet at the grassy patch next to Lot 5. The best way to spot us is by looking for a black "Phoenix flag" or a staff who will be wearing our shirt.
