Working Walk is hiring a new team member to lead groups of dogs on urban walking adventures!!! Pack leaders are responsible for pick up/drop off of multiple dogs and leading them on a 90 minute on-leash pack walk. We are looking for a special person with an appreciation of the concept of leading dogs, setting rules and boundaries and the value of a good workout. Experience is great, but a strong work ethic and dependability are paramount!! Hands-on training will be provided. *Candidates interested in learning training strategies and developing skills strongly encouraged to apply. This is a part-time/contract position; 12-20 hours per week Training hourly pay at $20/hr, shifting to a pay-by-the-dog once confident and comfortable to venture out on your own Potential to add more dogs or groups if the desire is there. REQUIREMENTS Reliable safe insured vehicle, able to accommodate up to 6-7 dogs is ideal. If you are a great fit but have a smaller capacity car, please still apply! It is more time efficient to take a larger group all at once, but taking multiple smaller groups is also possible. Strong work ethic and good communication skills. Ease and comfort around dogs of all sizes/ages and breeds Enjoys outdoors, does not mind getting dirty & willing to work in all weather conditions. Able to walk up to 1.5 hours per walk. Terrains may include hills and stairs. Comfortable using a variety of tools: slip leads, prongs, gentle leaders, crates, tie downs, food etc... (training will be provided) Can handle flexible schedule and engage clients in a professional and friendly manner. Phone with photo and texting capability East Bay applicants ideal.
