Concord Officer Credited With Saving Toddler's Life With Narcan

CONCORD, CA – A local police officer is being credited with saving the life of a toddler over the weekend. On Friday night Officer Aaron Khamosh was on patrol when he was stopped on Salvio Street by a driver frantically asking for help, Concord Police said. The officer learned that a 2-year-old who was in the back seat had stopped breathing and the officer immediately began CPR. The mother told Khamosh that the toddler "got ahold of some fentanyl" and needed Narcan, the drug used for someone experiencing an overdose. According to police, Khamosh gave the child two doses of Narcan and the toddler finally regained consciousness. The child was transported to John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center and is currently recovering at Children's Hospital Oakland, police said. The mother was arrested and charged with child endangerment and possession of a narcotic.
