MISSION VIEJO, CA — Mission Viejo's Library next month will reopen to the public, but only by appointment.
The reopening comes alongside Orange County's move to a less restrictive tier of coronavirus restrictions, the library said in a news release. Starting April 6, the facility will be available to the public by appointment.
In preparation for the reopening, the library said it will temporarily suspend curbside pickup on Friday. The service will resume on Saturday.
Appointment reservations can be made online. Reservations are good for one-hour and can be used for an individual person or a family unit.
Appointments can be used to apply for library cards, pick up held books, brows materials, get reference help and pick up remote printing.
Services like study rooms, public computers and seating will be reintroduced in later coronavirus phases, the library said.
Appointment times are available from noon to 5 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday. Curbside service will still be available.
