Former President Donald Trump issued a statement thanking the Washington Post after the publication issued a correction that was several months late in regards to a report that depicted Trump as directing a Georgia election official to “find the fraud” in the state. The Washington Post’s apology read, “The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source,” and that “Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so.”
