SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Orange County's public libraries are addressing health and safety guidelines issued by the state of California, officials say.
While those safety modifications are underway, to curtail the spread of coronavirus at area libraries, residents can pick up books in a "contactless" curbside program.
This week, library closures were in place at the Cypress Library, El Toro Library, Rancho Santa Margarita Library and the Westminster Library as the libraries make improvements to those structures, according to the website.
"Book drops and contactless curbside pickup are still available," they said in a recent news release.
All are asked to wear masks and maintain safe physical distancing while at the drop locations.
"Metered occupancy Grab and Go services are available at all OC Library Locations except the Laguna Woods library," they said.
Additional services, such as single user, 1-hour computer sessions by reservation, are still available.
Grab and Go service hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Laguna Hills Technology branch Grab and Go services are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
