Description
SANTA MONICA, CA — Get ready for burgers, shakes and tons of fries — Shake Shack is coming to Santa Monica this spring, the company told Patch.
The exact location and opening date have not been announced yet, but the company plans to share more information coming soon.
The new shack spot will also feature sustainable cutlery and straws from Restore Foodware, a pilot program and the company's mission to protect local communities.
Restore is a natural and regenerative foodware brand that launched in 2020 to help end the flow of plastic into the ocean by replacing plastic with AirCarbon®: a natural, carbon-negative material that feels like plastic but degrades naturally if it ends up in the environment.
AirCarbon® contains no synthetic plastics, PLA or synthetic glues, requires no food crops for production and is home compostable, soil degradable, and marine-degradable. The sustainable cutlery is available now at the West Hollywood and Long Beach locations.
Stay tuned for more updates from the company, including location announcements for the new Santa Monica restaurant. Visit the company's website for more information.
