Hello Ramona, we have just moved to your lovely town in order to expand our dog training business. Previously located in El Cajon, we are eager to start our most recent adventure of doubling in size as we move to a much larger facility. We will be hiring 1-2 new employees to perform operations tasks. You will be working alongside the owners, dog trainers, and operations crew, and manager. These tasks include a large amount of physical labor – you will stay fit here! A standard day at our company in your position entails: - Taking out all dogs for potty rounds several times a shift (between 20 and 35 dogs) - Cleaning all dog crates out once daily - Feeding - Washing, drying, and prepping bowls for the following shift - Sweeping, mopping, general cleaning and maintenance - Shoveling wood chips out of puppy pens - Lifting up to 50 lbs - Picking up dog waste several times a shift - Sanitizing yards (AstroTurf) and puppy pens - Bathing and general dog grooming (no haircuts) - Monitoring small details, such as dogs getting supplements if needed, checking ears, mouth, and feet for any injury, monitoring potties, amount of food eaten, and knowing which dogs are allowed in group play and which are only allowed by themselves (for the purpose of vaccines, aggression, or a need to improve in training first) We are a one-of-a-kind business! Your ideas for improvement, comments, concerns, and complaints will always be heard with a willing ear. Job Requirements It is required that you bring a positive attitude and energy for hard work! There are no education or experience requirements, but previous work with animals, dogs, and/or ownership of dogs is a huge plus. You must be empathetic towards animals and the small group of coworkers you will be with. This is a physically demanding job, and all former descriptions must be able to be met with reasonable accommodation.
