Description
Hey All, I am a disabled musician who can't make music using my hands, so I produce music by humming through a guitar synthesizer and then converting that audio into midi using Celomony’s Melodyne. This works surprisingly well. However, the midi conversion isn't in real time and I’ve never had a physical musical instrument I can improvise with, or perform with other musicians with. I'm in the process of assembling my own electronica instrument that I can control with my voice. The hard part of the equation has already been solved because I bought one of these- https://secondsound.com/product/unisyn/ This synthesizer allows me to control synthesizer with my voice in the fastest and most accurate way possible. It’s audio to Control Voltage is supernaturally accurate! I’ve tried other pitch tracking synths or pitch to midi converters and this one puts them all to shame!! The plan is I would like to use the Unisyn to control a Roland SE-O2 through control voltages. Then I would like to control some of the other synthesizers functions using a custom set of midi controls connected to a microphone. Ideally I would like to use a noise cancelling microphone with a mouthpiece to help filter out external noise, as well as a microphone on/off switch so the instrument stops translating audio when I take it away from my mouth. Then would like to have custom midi controls attached to the microphone with either a touch plate, ribbon controller, or joystick to create string like vibrato with, and buttons to control the up-and-down octave function of the synthesizer as well. Also perhaps another set of buttons to scroll through the presets of the SE-O2 with. Ideally I’m hoping to find someone with the micro controller skills to help me build all of this. If you’re down to help make my dream a reality, then please let me know your skill set and experience working with this kind of tech, and then I’m sure we can come to money to time ratio that works for you. I’m not rich but I want to pay people for their skills! Many Thanks, Jathan
