Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Causeway Boulevard

TAMPA, FL — A 38-year-old motorcyclist from Winter Haven was killed after colliding with a tractor-trailer truck on Causeway Boulevard early Sunday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:25 a.m. the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed west on Causeway Boulevard approaching South 86th Street and came upon a tractor-trailer truck driven by a 48-year-old Winter Haven woman. Troopers said the motorcyclist struck the rear of the truck and was ejected from the motorcycle. He died at the scene.
