SAN RAMON, CA — Tri-Valley state Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan volunteered at a local vaccination clinic last week. The clinic at 2641 Camino Ramon in San Ramon is run by the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, which had served more than 6,000 first first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers and people ages 65 and older as of her visit on Wednesday. "San Ramon Valley Fire stepped up and volunteered to do this before they were asked," she said in a news release from SRVFPD. "I think they're doing a great service to their communities and the least I can do is lend a hand." SRVFPD has recently begun operating mobile vaccination clinics in Contra Costa County to travel to apartment homes for those 65 years and older. "We have been working around the clock since December to secure and see to it that the vaccine gets delivered into the arms of people as quickly and as equitably and as effectively as possible," said SRVFPD Chief Paige Meyer in the news release. "There is tremendous pride and satisfaction on our team for being part of the solution to the pandemic."
